ToggleElevating Tile Installation Standards
The Ceramic Tile Education Foundation (CTEF) is set to showcase the Certified Tile Installer (CTI) and Advanced Certifications for Tile Installers (ACT) programs at Coverings 2024. Located in Atlanta from April 22-25, CTEF’s booth #6505 in Hall C will serve as a focal point for promoting these essential certifications, offering attendees a comprehensive look into the programs designed to elevate tile installation standards across the industry.
Certified Tile Installer (CTI) Program Takes Center Stage
Sponsored by TEC Specialty Products, the CTI segment within CTEF’s booth will offer attendees the chance to engage directly with the certification process. With eight slots available for a free hands-on test, the CTI program stands as the tile industry’s sole third-party assessment of installer skill and knowledge. This initiative underscores the importance of standardized skills and knowledge in enhancing the quality and reliability of tile installations nationwide.
Advanced Certifications for Tile Installers (ACT) Program
The ACT program, a collaborative effort among leading tile industry organizations, aims to assure consumers of high-quality installation work that adheres to ANSI standards and TCNA guidelines. With sponsorships from Crossville, Custom Building Products, Laticrete, MAPEI, and Noble Company, and test modules provided by D.W. Sanders Tile & Stone Contracting, the ACT section will highlight specialized areas of tile installation, including Large Format Tile & Substrate Preparation and Gauged Porcelain Tile Panels/Slabs.
A Comprehensive Schedule for Learning and Engagement
Both the CTI and ACT programs will feature detailed schedules during Coverings 2024, offering multiple opportunities for attendees to learn, engage, and even partake in hands-on demonstrations. From CTI module walk-throughs to ACT presentations and Q&A sessions, CTEF is committed to providing an educational and interactive experience for all Coverings participants interested in advancing their tile installation expertise.
As the industry convenes in Atlanta for Coverings 2024, CTEF’s dedication to certification and education in tile installation will play a pivotal role in fostering professional growth and ensuring the highest standards of workmanship. Through the CTI and ACT programs, CTEF continues to champion the importance of certified skills and knowledge, benefiting the entire tile industry ecosystem from manufacturers to installers and ultimately, consumers.
